Terms and Conditions - General

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Corbett Canines Service (also referred to as CC) terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the contract/booking form.

  2. CC will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client and the booking form, with full details of client requirements, has been signed by the client.

  3. Full payment for dog walking / day care / boarding (agreed either at time of booking or subsequently) are to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice or, by the date specified on the invoice via cash or bank transfer.

  4. On the last day of the receipt invoice please pay by 3pm latest after this time if payment is not made 2.5% of the total bill will be added after this time and also for each day that payment is overdue.

  5. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the clients absence. (i.e., food, medication, leads, tags, collars, cat litter etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of CC these will be purchased and added to the bill.

  6. If it is necessary for keys to be picked up or dropped off in order to complete an assignment charges will be applied for each trip.

  7. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of CC

  8. Emergency vet treatment – In the event of an emergency CC will make every effort to contact the client and emergency contacts. Should the Emergency Contact specified in the booking form not be available during an emergency, agreement is given to CC to make any decision necessary regarding the dogs health provided it is acting in the best interests of the dog(s) and is on the advice of a qualified veterinary surgeon. 

  9. Vet Bills - All veterinary bills incurred during the period of the booking, as well as other incidental expenses such as transportation costs to the veterinary surgery, will be paid by the owner. Transportation to the veterinary surgery will be charged at a minimum cost of £7 plus 50p a mile over 2 miles from current location

  10. CC must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.

  11. CC reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs.

  12. All dogs will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised.

  13. Although CC holds Public Liability insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. CC reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

  14. CC is not responsible for providing enrichment toys during their stay.

  15. CC will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, CC cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

  16. We aim to give you six weeks notice at least of our holidays.

  17. Although every care is taken to prevent contact with dogs with kennel cough, the incubation period means that is always possible your dog may pick this up and we cannot be held liable for your dog contracting kennel cough. We strongly advise you discuss kennel cough vaccinations with your vet.

  18. If your booking lands on any bank holiday this will be charge as a double rate ie 30mins walk £7 x 2 = £14

  19. CC must be given 2 weeks notice in writing in order to end the agreement.

 

Terms and Conditions - Dog Walking 

  1. There is always a 20 minute window time allowed for us to walk your dog ie a 10am walk can mean a 9:40am walk but walk time still remains the same.

  2.  Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance in writing or the full rate will be charged.

  3. All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime.

  4. All dogs will be exercised on a lead unless prior agreement has been reached with CC and a disclaimer form has been signed.

  5. The walker will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, thunder storms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.

  6. If dogs require a quick towelling off after walks towels must be provided and left in an agreed place.

  7. In larger breeds of dog CC recommends not to feed them one hour before their walk due to bloat (Gastric Torsion).

 

 

Terms and Conditions - Pet Taxi

  1. Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance in writing or the full rate will be charged.

  2. Clients must notify the veterinary surgery/groomer that CC will be attending the appointment on their behalf and ensure that arrangements for payment have been made with either CC or the vet/groomer.

  3. Any owner wishing to accompany CC whilst an animal is being transported accepts that they do so at their own risk and that CC does not accept any liability for any accident, injury or delay incurred during transportation.

 

Terms and Conditions - Home Visits

  2. Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance in writing or the full rate will be charged.

  3. CC will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however CC cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s).

  4. The client must provide all items necessary for your pet to be adequately cared for in the clients absence.

 

Terms and Conditions - 1: 1 Training

  1. Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance in writing or the full rate will be charged.

  2. A dog consultation needs to be done before any training is booked which is at a cost of £25 which needs to be paid upfront.

  3. For individual lessons, the payment needs to be paid before the training can start.

  4. For block bookings the payment needs to be paid before the training can start.

  5. Owners "MUST" carry on the training instructions from the dog trainer whilst between your bookings, If this is not met CC reserve the right to terminate your future bookings.

  6. No refunds will be made for cancellations. Monies can be transferred to an alternative course or used against another service we provide including dog walking, day care or home boarding. In such circumstances a credit note will be issued.

 

Terms and Conditions - Day Care / Home Boarding

  1. Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance in writing or the full rate will be charged.

  2. Any dog showing Aggressive / uncontrollable or nuisance behaviour beyond reasonable acceptance, will be placed in an alternative safe environment. The client further agrees that if their dog attacks, or is involved in a fight with another dog, (and/or person) causing injury to that dog (and/or person) they will be responsible for any losses incurred as a result including, but not limited to, payment of veterinary fees in respect of injuries to another animal caused by their dog.

  3. The clients agreement with CC is conditional upon a mutually satisfactory free 1 hour (max) meeting between the client, boarder and with the dog(s) who are to be boarded. 

  4. Delivery and collection dates must be adhered to as CC may have other bookings. If a booking needs to be extended for any reason clients must notify us as soon as possible so that CC can make provisions for this and additional charge will be applied to extended bookings.

  5. Sufficient food and supplies must be left with CC for the duration of the stay. Any additional supplies that are required to be purchased by CC will be added to your invoice.

  6. CC reserves the right to charge for any damage (other than reasonable wear and tear) caused by the clients dog to the CC home or furnishings during the course of the dog's stay.

  7. The owner gives consent to CC to allow their dog in the garden with another dog, following CC assessment.

  8. CC can not accept dogs under the 6 months old for boarding.

  9. In the event of a personal emergency or severe illness within CC the client authorises CC to arrange for another carer, where possible and using our best endeavours to ensure this is a suitable home from home environment.

  10. For day careers we require all new dogs to complete a trail day before any bookings can be made or confirmed, This trail day is at a cost of £15 which needs to be paid upfront.

  11. For home boarding we require all new dogs to complete a sleepover trail before any bookings can be made or confirmed, This sleepover is at a cost of £25 which needs to be paid upfront. To confirm a booking a deposit of 50% must be paid and submitted along with booking forms and signed copy of the T&Cs. The full balance is to be paid to CC a week before the dogs stay.

  12. For home boarding the £25 is per 24hrs ie if you drop your dog off on Friday 12noon pick up time would be Saturday 12noon anything after the 24hr period additional half or full day care will be added to your invoice.

  13. In the unlikely event that CC is for any reason unable to complete the confirmed booking, CC will exchange the clients booking deposit to another service.

  14. CC reserves the right to decline to care for any dog we consider to be visibly unwell at the time of leaving the dog with the CC. We also reserve the right to withdraw from a booking with an unspayed bitch in season, or due to come into season, whilst resident with CC. CC will not be liable for any costs incurred by the dog's owner in the event of such cancellations.

  15. If any dog is not collected, or the owner or emergency contact have not contacted CC within 5 days after the due collection date stated on the booking form, it will be considered that the dogs have been abandoned and CC reserve the right to place the dog with an animal charity. Any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.
